Every part of this compound of two integrated cabins(60meters between them) has been thoughtfully laid out; not only for complete privacy, but also to attract wildlife, while providing the comforts of modern life. You have to experience it to believe it.
Built on a tropical slope, this magical dwelling integrates you into the lower, mid- and upper levels of jungle flora and fauna. Standing or relaxing on the tile and log veranda you find yourself right at the upper canopy level, creating the magical sensation of living in a tree house.
Looking beyond the brilliant greens of jungle tree-tops and the brightly-colored flowers below, you see the blue of distant mountains—an amazing and peaceful view. You are surrounded by quiet—punctuated with melodic bird songs, a symphony of crickets, entertaining monkey visits, nesting parrots, toucan songs at the rising sun, and brilliantly colored butterflies fluttering all about.
“Here, we share with the neighborhood the admiration and greatest respect for the beauty of nature; and we share in its preservation,” says your host, Pierre, a Canadian naturalized in Costa Rica, who speaks fluent French, English, and Spanish (originally from Quebec, Canada). Extremely knowledgeable about the area, and living nearby , Pierre is your ‘go-to’ guy for information and help, especially if you are new to Costa Rica.
Within walking distance, is the little pueblo of Imaculada (1 km.-.6m) which offers vegetables, fruits, meat shops, and various other local products. At the foot of the hill(300mts) , a bus(40cents) to the town of Quepos runs by every 25 minutes, and taxis(4$) run by every few minutes, it is about a walk of 20 min. on a flat road .
