Experience Japan - Stay in a Ryokan

Ryokans are traditional Japanese inns that originated in the Edo period (1603–1868), when such inns served travelers along Japan's highways. They typically feature tatami-matted rooms, communal baths, and other public areas where visitors may wear yukata and talk with the owners. Typically these are not bookable on the internet but we've done our best and have gotten some of the owners to come onto our website. Be patient please as the experience is meant to not be high tech. We highly recommend these properties and you must stay in one of these to experience Japanese culture and the luxury of special hot spring baths.
