Bir is the Paragliding capital of India and also is the Spiritual centre for spiritual studies. Deer park institute being the most famous one for it. It is 2 hrs away from Dharamshala Airport by taxi . 3 hrs from McLeod Ganj by taxi. One of the jyotirlings is ik n Baijnath which is one of the oldest from 1200 BC and next to it is Chamunda devi temple which is also the temple of Kali. Himachal is also kNown as the land of Gods where you have alot of temples associated with indian Gods and Goddesses

You could reach Dharamshala by flight from Delhi or an overnight journey by private or govt buses to Bir- Tibetan colony directly. Another option is to come from Chandigarh airport by taxi which is an 8 hr journey or an overnight journey by bus to Bit road bus stop
